2022 Year in Review
As 2022 comes to a close, we can't help but look back at all that our team has accomplished this year! From selling our ONE MILLIONTH candle to seeing our candles in the hands of Reese Witherspoon, we broke down our favorite moments of 2022!
"Best Fall Candle Overall" by Forbes Vetted
We were so excited to have our Warm + Cozy candle named the Best Fall Candle Overall 2022 by Forbes Vetted! Warm + Cozy has grown to be one of our best sellers all fall + winter long! With notes of orange, cinnamon, clove, vetiver, and pine, this candle is a perfect blend of spice and sweetness to burn throughout the home!
Candle Studio Expansion
This spring we expanded our candle pour room to allow our team to produce even more of your favorite candles! This expansion also allowed us to streamline our candle making process. We also renovated our office space to make room for our growing team! Complete with a completely neutral theme, our team is loving the new open + collaborative environment. We can't wait to continue growing and expanding our team + candle making process in 2023.
One Million Candles
We reached a major milestone this year, producing our one millionth candle! It is incredible how far we have come since our owner, Melissa, started making these candles in her basement in 2017. From the very beginning, Melissa strived to make a clean burning candle all can enjoy with high quality, non-toxic ingredients with scent that fills the room. We continue to produce our non-toxic candles with soy based wax that is gluten and phthalate free and 100% cotton wicks that are lead and zinc free.
SWD x SBK Living Collaboration
This holiday season we had the pleasure of collaborating with Kasey from @sbkliving on her exclusive SWD x SBK Living Holiday Collection! Kasey's vibrant spirit and love for the home was so contagious throughout the collection + we loved sharing her top holiday picks!
SWD x Lady Pens Collaboration
This year we collaborated with the Lady Pens and the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to give back to our local Pittsburgh community! The Lady Pens designed three candles: Icing, Slashing Through the Snow, and Pond Hockey, each with one of their favorite scents to share the love of hockey and give back to our local community. All proceeds from these candle sales will support the Angel Fund created by the Lady Pens to benefit non-profits in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.
