Hours: Part-time - Contractor

Location: Work from home (Come to our Cranberry, PA location for design meetings)

We are seeking a dynamic, organized creative professional to join our team as a Freelance Designer. This role involves a unique combination of skills, from designing new home decor products to graphics, wholesale catalog creation and management, and can even include photo editing. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the visual appeal of our products and contributing to the development of our home decor product line.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Home Decor, Gift, and Candle Product Design:

• Conceptualize and design new home decor, gift, and digital products that align with current market trends and customer preferences.
• Develop detailed product specifications and collaborate with manufacturers to bring designs to fruition.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and gaps in the home decor industry, staying ahead of design trends.
• Work with our licensing partners to bring ideas to life
• Cross-Functional Collaboration working closely with the marketing, sales, and manufacturing teams to understand market demands and ensure product designs and marketing graphics designed align with business goals.
• Collaborate with photographers to provide creative direction and ensure product images meet design standards.

Graphic Design & Editing:

• Creating product catalogs, marketing materials, and more
• Create graphics for our website, product listings, and more
• Opportunity to edit photos to swap out designs / labels from photoshoots

Quality Assurance:

• Must have high attention to detail in all aspects of work and a commitment to accuracy.
• Conduct thorough reviews of product prototypes and samples to ensure designs are accurately translated into physical products.
• Address any design-related issues and collaborate with the production team to maintain high-quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience after college
• Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related field.
• Proven experience in design, with a strong portfolio
• Demonstrated success in designing and photo editing.
• Must have excellent skills and proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - namely Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Lightroom) and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Strong understanding of current design trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics.
• Strong ability to work independently, take initiative, and work cross functionally.
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously improving skills and knowledge.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Thorough understanding of design principles / branding.
• Well-organized and detail oriented to maintain multiple projects at once with an overview understanding of what needs completed for each design project.

Sweet Water Decor is looking for a Candle Maker / Production Specialist in Cranberry Township, PA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Visually inspect each container for correct dimensions and labeling
• Assist with prepping, pouring, and labeling candles
• Must have good hand dexterity
• Maintain a clean work environment
• This is a fast-paced work setting

• Capacity to bend, flex, lift 50 pounds, stand for up to 7.5 hours
